PRC orders in the Urals large quantities of equipment for MI-17 helicopters

China National Machinery Import & Export Corp, a state-owned company specializing in import and export of machines, placed a large order in the Sverdlovsk Oblast. The company needs a batch of horizon indicator for the Mi-17 medium size multipurpose helicopter.

The navigation instrument indicating the position of the aircraft in space in relation to the horizontal plane enables the helicopter to be piloted when the land is not in the field of vision. Instruments made by the Ural Priborostroitelny Plant (priborostroitelny - Russian for "instrument-making") are very popular in CIS countries. The Chinese company started cooperating with the plant in 2009. The order is estimated to be worth 5 million dollars.

The plant informed RusBusinessNews that MachImpEx's order has been added to the waiting list. In recent months the demand for the products of the Ekaterinburg enterprises has grown by several times. All customers have to wait for their turn.
