The Czech Republic to Assist in Upgrading the Ural Railway Car Plant08.04.2009 — News THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST. PSG-International a.s. from the Czech Republic will assist in upgrading the thermal power plant of the OAO NPK Uralvagonzavod (Ural Railway Car Plant). On 8 April 2009 in Nizhniy Tagil, Nikolay MALYKH, the Director General of Uralvagonzavod, and Juraj Surovič, the Vice Chairman of the Board of PSG-International a.s., signed a framework co-operation agreement for the preparation of project documentation, construction and putting into operation of a gas turbine plant with the electricity generation capacity of 60 megawatts and thermal capacity of 70 GCal/hour. Putting this plant into operation was planned for 2011-2012. In co-operation with Czech companies, the OAO NPK Uralvagonzavod is going to finish the redesign of the southern aisle of the paint and delivery shop floor where the paint and dry facility, which is the biggest in the world and compliant with the worldwide standards, is installed. The machining line for railway car axles, based on ALTA equipment, is also prepared to be launched in the forging shop. The Czech Export Bank that has established a 1 billion Euro credit line for OAO NPK Uralvagonzavod until the end of 2010 is taking part in funding the redesign of this Russian military-industrial complex flagship. |
