VSMPO-Avisma is putting the equipment through summer upgrades

VSMPO-Avisma employees will have completed the upgrading of three presses by the end of August 2010.

The corporation representatives informed "RusBusinessNews" that two outfits will be repaired in the press-shop. One of them will be tooled up with Glama manipulators, whereas the second one will be equipped with new side cylinders.

In the smelting and foundry facility, the retrofit installations will be performed on the press used for consumable electrodes. The plunger of the master cylinder will be replaced. This outfit is one of the units approved for extrusion of electrodes with the further smelting of rotor quality metal, therefore the work is performed under special supervision.
