Research and Production Corporation UralVagonZavod covers more than ¼ of the freight car manufacturing market in Russia and CIS countries. In order to increase sales volume and to maximize profit, special priority is given to market research and generation of new market outlets, both domestic and international.

Nowadays UVZ is engaging quite a few leading foreign companies to industrial cooperation, among which are Chinese South Railway Car Building Corporation, Amsted Rail (USA), Kamkor Management (Kazakhstan). Cooperation with the above named companies will be based not only on ready deliveries but also on exchange of state-of-the-art designs and technologies with potential of efficient application both in Russia and abroad. Among the objectives of UralVagonZavod is increase of the share of civilian production export from 15% to 40%.

Over a period of a long time, UralVagonZavod has been working with Indian Ministry of Defense in terms of assistance in manufacturing of T-90Cs and their component parts, and guaranteed technical maintenance of tanks in troops.
